Busy! Demanding! Rewarding! We run our front desk unlike any other hotel in the Rockies. Sunwapta Falls Rocky Mountain Lodge has an outstanding record in customer and guest services that has earned us a reputation with guests world-wide. Check us out on TripAdvisor. Know that when guests rate our service so high, it all started on the Front Desk and it all started with someone just like you. Someone who genuinely commits to providing a unique level of service that can only be described as memorable.
The work load is demanding. The learning curve is substantial for the administrative and clerical aspects. You must be familiar with word processing, email programs like Outlook, and be exceptionally well organized. Written communication is highly valued, and mathematical skills are an asset. There will be times when your ability to multi-task will be tested, and a new undrestanding of prioritizing will set in.
At the same time, you are the face of the Lodge for all of our customers. Your spoken English myst be impeccable and your listening ability must be guided by patience, understanding, and kindness. Guests really see you as the most important part of their stay. You are the key to their enjoyment of the Jasper area. At Sunwapta we take that the most seriously and you will given all the skills you need to make sure our guests are over the moon with your service. However, it all starts with your attitude.
The front desk, while the most demanding is also the most rewarding. Nowhere else on property do you have an opportunity to make truly meaningful connections with people from all over the world. Consider that all of our guests are also on vacation. They really want to have a memorable experience, have some fun, and connect with nature. You will be an integral part of that!

What do we offer?
An unparalleled rustic wilderness location in one of the world’s most desirable destinations – Jasper National Park. You will be working with the Rockies best hospitality team. Staff accommodation is provided ON SITE. You will live, work and socialize with a group of awesome coworkers and make friendships that will last a lifetime! Our accommodation is inexpensive, and provides all the basics: heat/hot water, satellite TV, Wi-Fi and a dedicated staff phone line.
Compensation:
Wage starts at $9.75/hr + a competitive bonus structure and commissions for those who complete the term of their contract.
Accommodation is subsidized: $185/month for a shared room (includes everything but food and long distance phone calls)
